A busy week starts with another planning session but this time it was just Dad and me. We decide to end the ride on October 12th, which is World Arthritis Day. We finally agree on a length of the ride too. The ride will be three and half months as I’m no Bradley Wiggins on a bike and we have to take my dodgy hip into account. But where shall I ride to I hear you ask? That is the next decision. We want to aim for around 2000 miles from England and Rome seems to fit the bill the best, especially as EuroVelo route 5 passed through it. I decide to support two charities in the end. Arthritis Research UK and CCAA (Kids with Arthritis) appeal to me in different ways and I want to deal with both the issues of research and the practicalities for children living with arthritis.
